About AmbuVet

I am Gill Strauss. I graduated from the University of Liverpool in 1992 and have been working in small animal veterinary practice for 15 years. I have extensive experience of treating dogs, cats, rabbits and other small pets.

I set up Ambuvet to provide a much needed local service. While I was working in practice I noticed that many people had difficulty getting to the vet or had pets that were very nervous in the surgery. For these people it would be ideal to have a vet visit them in their home but most practices find it difficult to spare a vet for the time required to do a home visit. Because I only do home visits I am able to spend all the time you need with you and your pet.

 

Ambulance Service
We are able to deal with most simple medical problems. More complicated cases may require further investigation, major surgery or intensive care in a hospital. If this is the case, we can refer you to an affiliated practice if you are not already registered elsewhere. Alternatively, we can provide a veterinary ambulance to transport your pet to a local veterinary surgery.

Home Visits
 Because we only do home visits, we are able to spend more time with your pet which means you will receive an unhurried, caring, stress free consultation in the comfort of your own home.

Comlimentary Services
If you are registered with another local vet, you may like to use our service as a compliment to what they provide.
